Motorcycle Accidents

By their very nature, motorcycle accidents are devastating. With very little protection, a motorcyclist is prone to serious injury as a result of an accident and many motorcycle accidents result in the death of the motorcyclist.

It is vitally important for the motorcyclist to wear a helmet as the majority of injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident are head injuries. Like most accidents that occur on the roads, motorcycle accidents are the consequence of negligence. Because of the extreme nature injuries from a motorcycle accident, compensation is often quite substantial.

Accidents that occur with a motorcycle are governed by separate laws than other road traffic accidents, and require an experienced attorney to take you through the process of claiming any compensation that may be due to you.

Some of the things you should do after a motorcycle accident would include calling the police, and paramedics in required. If you have a camera with you, take pictures of the accident scene including the vehicles involved and try to get witness statements as soon as possible, preferably while their memories are still fresh.
